- Insulin shock therapy is not a viable clinical treatment because it was very dangerous. The insulin shock therapy was prescribed to people with schizophrenia, to cure it, however the treatment was not based on the patient's physical or mental state. 2. Was John Nash an unusual case, or do you think that many schizophrenic patients can be taught to function in society with without medication?
- John Nash is an unusual case because for a normal person it is hard to ignore the hallucinations one is going through. Although it will be hard to go through schizophrenia without any medications, it is my opinion, that it is recommended to not take the medication because taking medication does not cure the schizophrenia; it just helps the patient to relax. If one keeps taking the medication, the dosage of the medication have to be increased for the immune system gets stronger and defeats the pills so there will be a limit for the medication. Taking medication is not recommended in my opinion.
